Viognier - 2023
Tasting notes
The 2022 vintage saw lower Brix levels than normal across all our vineyards. Viognier is where this effect is more pronounced. Typically, the aromatics are dominated by peach and stone fruits. The 2022 shows these typical characteristics, but is also accompanied by more white pepper on the nose and savory minerality on the palate. As a result of being less ripe than usual, the body features more acidity and is therefore leaner than our typical Viognier. I expect this wine will age well.
