Hawkridge Syrah - 2023

Across the board, 2022 was an excellent growing season for Syrah. Our Syrahs all underwent an extensive fermentation trial and resulted in some great components for blending. Our Hawkridge Syrah was a blend of the darkest, most extracted barrels in order to showcase the depth of the 2023 vintage. With 50% New French Oak the aromatics are elevated and intense, with rich plum mixed with cedar and pencil shavings. The palate features medium-plus tannin, strong acidity, and intensely concentrated bramble berry and sappy, stemmy green flavors. The wine finishes strong with medium roast coffee and tobacco.
